Why Are So Many Bank Officers Resigning?

Story 003: Why Bank Officers Are Resigning | IBPS PO | SBI PO | Banking Job Reality India

Is It True That a IBPS PO and SBI PO Really Goes Home After 7 PM?

Aajkal ek baat quietly repeat ho rahi hai—
“Bank officers resign kar rahe hain. Reason? Work pressure.”

Chahe baat SBI PO, IBPS PO, ya kisi bhi public sector bank officer ki ho, narrative almost same hai.
Par sawaal ye hai:
Kya sach mein problem sirf “late sitting” hai?
Ya work pressure ka matlab kuch aur hai?

Is article mein hum kisi bank ko blame nahi kar rahe.
Hum sirf observe kar rahe hain—aur sawal pooch rahe hain.

Pehle Khud Se Ye Sawaal Poochiye

Agar aap banking aspirant hain, ya already banker hain, toh thoda ruk kar sochiye:

  • Aap “work pressure” se kya samajhte hain?
  • “India ke public sector bank” se aapki expectations kya hain?
  • Aaj ke India mein unemployment ka matlab kya hai?
  • Aapke liye zyada important kya hai—quality of life ya quantity of income?
  • Aaj ke time mein ek family ko comfortably chalane ke liye “enough amount” kya hota hai?
  • Aur sabse mushkil sawal—
aapke liye freedom ka matlab kya hai?

In sawalon ke jawab har kisi ke liye alag honge.
Aur yahin se banker life ki complexity shuru hoti hai.

Work Pressure Sirf Kaam Zyada Hona Nahi Hota

Public sector banks—chahe SBI ho ya koi aur PSB—sirf rich customers ya corporate clients se deal nahi karte.
Yahan:

  • Government business hai
  • Pensioners hain
  • Rural aur unorganised sector hai
  • Financial inclusion ke targets hain

Private banks ki tarah “no” keh dena option nahi hota.

Iske upar add ho jaata hai:

  • Staff shortage
  • Excessive customer footfall
  • Limited skilled manpower
  • Old management systems
  • Unrealistic expectations
  • Poor work distribution
  • Unhygienic working conditions
  • Staff Interpersonal Behaviour

Aur haan—
har officer ko har cheez ka expert banna hota hai.
Chahe aap 2 saal ke experience mein ho ya 20 saal ke—
system aapko har din thoda “fresher” hi treat karta hai.

Toh Kya IBPS PO aur SBI PO 7 Baje Ghar Chala Jaata Hai?

Seedha jawab?
7 PM bahut early hai.

Reality thodi uncomfortable hai:

  • 7 PM – rare case
  • 8 PM – average
  • 9–10 PM – common
  • Weekends & holidays – “official reasons” ke naam pe working

Inspection, audit, year-end, month-end, quarter-end, AGM orders—
kaam khatam hone ka koi fixed time nahi hota.

Aur ye sirf Probationary Officers (POs) tak limited nahi hai.
Ye pressure Scale I, Scale II aur upar ke officers sabke liye hai.

PO stage par responsibilities kam lag sakti hain.
Asli weight confirmation ke baad aata hai.
Jab “Staff Accountability” naam ka monster aapke upar applicable ho jata hai.

Ek Normal Banker Ka Din |Daily Routine of Bank Officer (Jo Job KRA Mein Nahi Dikhaya Jaata)

8:00 AM – Uthna (sabse mushkil kaam)
8:30 AM – Ready hona
09:30 AM – Lunch ka jugaad
10:00 AM – Branch open, smile on
5:00 PM – Customers ke liye branch band
Uske baad…
Kaam, kaam aur kaam

8:30–9:00 PM – Room wapas
Phir khana, thoda mobile, thodi overthinking
Aur next day—repeat.

Is routine mein “stress” loud nahi hota.
Wo silently settle ho jaata hai.

Phir Log Resign Kyun Nahi Kar Paate?

Yahin aata hai sabse important concept—

Golden Handcuffs

Read Golden Handcuffs Full Story
  • Easy home loan
  • Overdraft OD accounts
  • Car loan
  • Lifestyle upgrades
  • Social respect
  • “Secure job” tag

Salary aati rehti hai.
EMIs bhi kat-ti rehti hain.

Banker chahe frustrated ho,
par exit ka cost itna heavy hota hai ki decision postpone hota rehta hai.

Golden handcuffs comfort bhi dete hain, isi liye golden hain.
aur freedom bhi restrict kar dete hain, isi liye Handcuffs hain.

Achhi Baat Bhi Hai—Aur Ye Bhi Sach Hai

Har banker unhappy nahi hota.
Kai log genuinely satisfied bhi hote hain.

  • Parents ko better life dena
  • Travel kar paana
  • Books kharidna
  • Movies, shopping, hobbies
  • Financial independence

Money happiness nahi kharidta,
par life ke kai problems ko manageable bana deta hai.

Ye contradiction hi banking job ki reality hai.

Agar Aap Work Pressure Se Joojh Rahe Hain…

Kuch honest observations:

  • Frustrated feel karna normal hai
  • Kaam kabhi khatam nahi hota
  • Har cheez control mein nahi hoti
  • Egoistic seniors se ladna solution nahi hota
  • Written communication aapka shield hota hai
  • Knowledge aapki real job security hai

System perfect nahi hai.
Change slow hai., but employee favorable change nahi hai.
Aur shayad har banker ka final destination bank hi ho—ye bhi zaroori nahi.
Aap bank me fase hue hain, ye aap bhi jante hain. Aur jis din bank nahi toh aur kya? Is sawal ka jawab mil gya toh 50% income par bhi aap shift kar loge ye bhi aap jante ho.

Conclusion | Aakhri Baat

Ye article banking job ko glorify bhi nahi karta,
aur demonize bhi nahi.

Ye sirf ek sawal chhodta hai:

Agar salary, respect aur security mil rahi hai—
toh aap se kya kya cheez le rahi hai time ke alawa?

Har banker ka jawab alag hoga.
Aur wahi jawab decide karega
ki work pressure aapke liye burden hai
ya responsibility.
